“You can have the best science, but if that institute does not work on that, or they don’t have dollars allocated to that topic, it’s not going to get funded,” Dr. Williams told us.
Today’s podcast also includes information about the importance of using plain language and being economical with your words. Dr. Williams has great advice when it comes to the art of telling a story when you engage in the grant writing process.
“Think about your grant as if you are telling a story,” she said.
